Quick Answer

Can I consult an Ayurvedic doctor online?

Yes. Dr. Amita Abrol, an Ayurvedic physician in Amritsar with over 14+ years of experience, consults patients worldwide by video or phone. Your first call is free. You share your reports, have a detailed video consultation, and get a written plan for diet, routine and herbal medicines, with regular online follow-ups.

Many of our patients live far from Amritsar - in Ludhiana, Delhi or Mumbai, and in London, Toronto, Dubai or Melbourne. Some are NRIs who grew up with Ayurveda at home. Others have tried everything else for a problem that keeps coming back.

Travelling to India for every visit is not realistic for them. Online consultation fills that gap. You get the same doctor, the same detailed history-taking and the same written plan - from your own home, at a time that fits your day.

Step by Step

How Online Consultation Works

  1. 1

    Send a request

Fill in the short online consultation form or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us your country and time zone so we can suggest a slot that suits you.

  2. 2

    Your free first call

A short call to understand your problem and check that online care is right for you. There is no charge for this call.

  3. 3

    Share your reports

Send recent blood tests, scans and a list of the medicines you take on WhatsApp or email before your consultation. Photos of reports are fine.

  4. 4

    Your video consultation

Dr. Abrol takes a full history - sleep, digestion, periods, stress, diet - and explains what she thinks is going on, in plain language.

  5. 5

    A clear written plan

Diet, daily routine, herbal medicines and simple home practices, written down so you can follow them. Any fees are confirmed with you before treatment starts.

  6. 6

Your Plan

What You Get After the Consultation

You should never leave a consultation unsure of what to do next. Your plan is written down and usually covers:

  • What Dr. Abrol thinks is driving your symptoms, explained simply
  • Foods to favour and foods to cut back on, based on your body type (Prakriti)
  • A daily routine you can manage - meal times, sleep, simple yoga or breathing practices
  • Herbal medicines, with how and when to take them
  • When to check in again, and what to watch for between follow-ups

If your problem needs Panchakarma, Dr. Abrol will plan a clinic visit in Amritsar with you, timed around your trip to India.

Know the Limits

When You Need a Clinic or Hospital Instead

Online care works well for long-standing problems. It is not for emergencies. Go to a hospital straight away for chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, sudden weakness or numbness on one side, very heavy bleeding, or a high fever that is not settling.

Therapies such as Panchakarma, Shirodhara and Abhyangam need you at the clinic. Many overseas patients start online and then plan a Panchakarma stay in Amritsar when they visit India.

For many long-standing problems, a detailed history, your reports and a video consultation give Dr. Abrol enough to plan treatment. Some things - Nadi Pariksha (pulse diagnosis) and all Panchakarma therapies - need an in-clinic visit, and she will tell you honestly if that is the case for you.
