Head & Neck Therapies
Shirodhara
"Shiro" means head, "Dhara" means flow - a steady, continuous stream of warm liquid poured onto the forehead to calm the mind and nervous system.
- Head & Neck Therapies
Rooted in ancient Indian wisdom, our therapies are designed to detoxify the body, calm the mind, and restore inner harmony. Each treatment is guided by experienced practitioners who blend traditional techniques with personalised care, addressing stress, fatigue, and lifestyle imbalances.
Shirodhara is composed of two Sanskrit terms - "Shiro," which translates to "head," and "Dhara," which translates to "flow." It is an age-old Ayurvedic treatment native to India, which involves a practitioner pouring a liquid - usually oil, milk, buttermilk, or water - onto the client's forehead. The pouring of oils or other liquids onto the head and scalp gives a soothing effect on the muscles of the head, in turn passing to the peripheral nerves of the brain. Shirodhara also helps to reduce stress hormones like epinephrine and norepinephrine, using liquids that reduce the adverse consequences of imbalanced doshas.
Why Shirodhara?

Uses liquids that reduce the adverse consequences of imbalanced doshas, particularly Vata.
Strengthens Sensory Organs
