About Dr. Abrol

"Nasa Hi Shiraso Dwaram" - Nasya Karma (nasal drug delivery) is a therapeutic process where drugs are administered through the nose in a specific manner to cure different urdhvajatrugat vikaras (disorders above the collarbone). The nose is the gateway to consciousness and the pathway to our internal recovery. Medications administered via the nasal passages treat disorders of the mind, neck, nose, and sinus cavity. Nasya is one of the well-known purification treatments in Ayurveda, and is administered on an empty stomach.

How It Works

Your Treatment Journey

  1. 1

    Preparatory Massage

Treatment begins with a vibrant head and neck massage, followed by a gentle massage to the ears, to stimulate the sense organs and open the sinus areas.

  2. 2

    Facial Steam

A facial steam is administered to further open the nasal passages before the medicated oil is applied.

  3. 3

    Nasal Oil Administration

Drops of medicated oil, plant juice, or decoction are administered into each nostril, on an empty stomach.

Common Questions

Nasyam - Frequently Asked Questions

Dr. Abrol reviews your full medical history and current medication before recommending Nasyam or any Panchakarma therapy, and coordinates your care alongside your existing treatment where appropriate.

This varies by condition and your body constitution (Prakriti). Dr. Abrol recommends a personalised course length after your first consultation.

The therapy itself requires an in-clinic visit, but international and NRI patients can have their initial consultation and treatment plan prepared online before travelling in for sessions.
