About Dr. Abrol

A normal menstrual cycle generally lasts 21 to 35 days. Irregular periods - any departure from this usual pattern in length, flow, or frequency - are more than a monthly inconvenience; they indicate hormonal, metabolic, and lifestyle changes within the body, and are often disregarded by women for years without realising it is a sign of internal imbalance.

According to Ayurveda, irregular periods signal that the body's three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, responsible for movement, digestion, and structure - are disturbed. Inefficient digestion allows toxins to accumulate, which can interfere with hormones and reproductive health. Ayurveda works by strengthening digestion, calming the doshas, and restoring mental and physical harmony to return the cycle to its natural rhythm.
