About Dr. Abrol

It is a rejuvenating and nourishing treatment from Kerala. Njavara (Oryza sativa), a highly vitamin-enriched rice from Kerala, is specially cooked with medicated herbs and milk, tied in a small linen bag. The body is then vigorously massaged after dipping the bag into medicated warm milk until the warmth induces the skin to sweat. This procedure strengthens the body, moisturises the skin, and improves overall complexion, muscular strength, tone, and immunity.

Common Questions

Njavarakizhi - Frequently Asked Questions

Dr. Abrol reviews your full medical history and current medication before recommending Njavarakizhi or any Panchakarma therapy, and coordinates your care alongside your existing treatment where appropriate.

This varies by condition and your body constitution (Prakriti). Dr. Abrol recommends a personalised course length after your first consultation.

The therapy itself requires an in-clinic visit, but international and NRI patients can have their initial consultation and treatment plan prepared online before travelling in for sessions.
